Our 2025 Summer Finance Operations Internship Program focuses on developing young professionals, who are expected to graduate in Winter 2025/Spring 2026. As an intern on the Finance Operations team, you will work closely with the K1 Operations team and portfolio company FP&A teams to drive results and create value across our portfolio companies. The ideal candidate will enjoy exercising their analytical and problem-solving skills, and be passionate and curious about SaaS technology businesses, and embody K1’s core values of Passion, Persistence, Humility and Excellence.

K1 seeks to provide meaningful strategic and financial support across our portfolio to help our companies reach their full potential. The K1 FP&A team works alongside CFOs and finance teams to help them meet the needs of their rapidly growing business and share industry best practices.

Responsibilities:

As a Summer 2025 Finance Operations Intern, you will assist the K1 Finance Operations team with analyzing the financial performance of the K1 portfolio and assist in the success of the internal finance teams across our portfolio.

Day-to-day engagements will vary, but interns should expect responsibilities to include:

  • Hands-on experience in financial statement consolidation, monthly reviews, analysis, and benchmarking
  • Support onboarding of new companies and financial integrations of M&A acquisitions
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis utilizing financial, operational, and sales data to deliver findings used for business decision-making
  • Exposure to ERPs, CRMs, financial planning, and other key systems used for business operations
  • Involvement in projects which may include research, analysis, finance processes, consulting, and delivery of findings
  • Assist with logistics, content, and onsite programming for the 2025 Finance, HCM, and Transformation Summit

Qualifications:

  • Graduating in Winter 2025/Spring 2026
  • First generation college students encouraged to apply
  • Currently pursuing a major/minor, preferably in business, finance, or accounting
  • Demonstrate aptitude for analytics and quantitative problem-solving skills
  • Data analysis skills such as knowledge of programming languages for the purpose of driving business insights and manipulation of data, are a plus
  • Team player with a proven record of leadership who’s also an independent thinker
  • Ability to understand and communicate complex ideas effectively
  • Deadline-driven, organized, and able to multitask
  • Ability to work full time in our Manhattan Beach office

As of the date of this posting, K1 Investment Management, LLC reasonably expects to pay $30/hour for the position of Intern, Finance Operations.
